The Nurse Practitioner serves as team leader and will directly supervise medical surveillance staff while on site at various work locations. The Nurse Practitioner provides occupational health services such as pre-employment, DMV, Respiratory, Hazardous Materials, and POST physicals, as well as immunizations to meet the health and safety needs of various companies, state and government agencies throughout California. Services are provided by the Nurse Practitioner and support staff working under the direction of the MD's from the department. Operational direction would come from CHP Manager.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Current California RN license- Current California Nurse Practitioner - Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number- CPR certification- MSN PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - NP experience in an Occupational and Environmental Medicine setting - Knowledge of OSHA regulations and NIOSH recommendations- At least one year of paid FNP experience- NIOSH Certification in Spirometry- CAHOC Certification in Audiometry- Willingness to drive a medical mobile unit (RV)
