This position will provide clinical services to radiation therapy patients at the Merced Cancer Center and will function as a radiation oncologist adhering to UCDMC's credentialing guidelines, medical staff bylaws, medical staff privilege requirements, and billing guidelines. Patient care services provided include radiation therapy external beam, participation in weekly chart rounds and quality assurance conferences via telecommunication. During the day, physicians will see patients in the office and evaluate, initiate, and provide on-going therapy for patients. On average, they may see 10-30 patients per day (new consults, follow-ups and status checks). Physician will admit and follow patients in the hospital when the need arises and answer any phone calls from patients or physicians after hours. The Cancer Center will be open from 8:00-5:00, and physician will be expected to be available anytime patients are present for treatment. In addition, the physcian or a colleague will be present on-site whenever patients are present for treatment. When seeing patients, oversee the work of clinical staff (nurses, dosimetry, and therapy).REQUIRED- Board eligible in Radiation Oncology-Current medical licensure in California.-Participation in CME to maintain medical licensure and board certification.-Current CPR certification.- Must be board eligible and become certified within two years of appointmentSPECIAL REQUIREMENT - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
