THIS IS A 50% CAREER POSITION and is located in Richmond, CA. The position reports to the Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (COEH) in the Department of Public Health Sciences. The Lab Aspire Program Analyst supports the mission of the Communicable Disease Emergency Response contract to support statewide disease surveillance and prevention in order to develop public health action and emergency response plans and recommendations in partnership with the Division of Communicable Disease Control ' Center for Infectious Disease in the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). The Lab Aspire Program Analyst will assist in the planning and coordination of daily fiscal, administrative, and operational activities of grant-funded programs and related activities. Duties include grant planning and administration, operational and administrative liaison, program marketing, reporting and budgeting.REQUIRED--Bachelor's degree in related field or experience with a local or state public health agency in the management and analysis of public health surveillance data.--Minimum of two years' experience in planning, coordinating, managing, and implementing grant-funded public health, community, or educational programs and activities.--Desired experience working in a public health laboratory including knowledge of federal and state personnel qualifications and regulations.--Excellent organizational and analytical skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and work well under pressure to develop and achieve goals.--Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to train others on program objectives.--Working knowledge of grant administration and management.--Ability to coordinate multiple activities to ensure completion of projects, tasks and assignments.SPECIAL REQUIREMENT - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
