Positions in this function are responsible for providing expertise or general claims support to teams in reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating, processing and adjusting claims. Authorizes the appropriate payment or refers claims to investigators for further review. Requirements:High School Diploma or GEDWorking Hours Monday - Friday 7:00am-4:00pm2+ years of Claims experience in an office setting environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel) - Microsoft Word (create / edit / read documents), Excel (create / edit / read spreadsheets), Outlook (create / edit / read emails) Assets:Experience with COSMOS claims processing Past leadership responsibilities Soft Skills: Strong communication skills. Able to effectively communicate to direct reports, Sr. Leadership and matrix partners on a consistent basisAbility to work independently in remote environment Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships through communication, collaboration and efficiency Excellent attention to detail and time management skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time Willingness to take calculated risk Anticipates and drives change through the organization, equipping staff to adapt quicklyPhysical Requirements and Work Environment: Extended periods of sitting at a computer and use of hands / fingers across keyboard or mouseOffice environmentCareers with Optum.
