This position will manage a team of Behavioral Care Advocates providing telephonic and in person case management and utilization review of behavioral health and substance abuse cases throughout the state of Kansas. The team will have a direct impact on the lives of our members as they recommend and manage the appropriate level of care throughout the entire treatment plan. Primary Responsibilities:Sets team direction, resolves problems and provides guidance to members of own team May oversee work activities of other supervisors Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges Influences or provides input to forecasting and planning activities Ensures audits are conducted, standards are met, successful outcomes are achieved Reviews operational and performance metrics regularly and partners with direct supervisor in driving action plan development and execution
Required Qualifications:Licensed Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage or Family Counseling, OR Licensed Ph.D., OR an RN with 2 or more years of experience in behavioral health. Licenses must be active and unrestricted in the state of Kansas 5+ years of experience in a Supervisory/Managerial role responsible for direct reports 8+ years Behavioral Health experience Computer proficiency including Microsoft applications Reside within a commutable distance of Kansas Ability to travel throughout the state of KansasPreferred Qualifications:Experience supervising or managing field based staff Managing or supervising remote employees Experience working with vulnerable, special needs or similar population Managed Care / Insurance experienceCareers with Optum.
