It's the opportunity to do your life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities:Overall management of a book of Strategic Accounts, setting visionary strategic direction using deep market knowledge of the customer and of the solutions that Optum can offer. Develops and executes account plan using key systems. Analyzes customer data and identifies trends to assess needs and uses this knowledge to create actionable recommendations / solutions for the customer. Provides strategic direction for regional account managers supporting the customer in various regions of the globe. Awareness and understanding of current B2B relationship and how those relationships impact customer relationships Responsible for retention of the most valuable clients through excellent relationships and service. Develops new revenue streams through strategic sales of targeted solutions to broaden the service offering and the user base within the client Broadens multi-level account relationships - including at Board level - within client organisations, makes new connections and shares within Optum as appropriate. Works with Optum leadership to build and strengthen executive sponsor relationships with customer organization. Partners with Optum US and UHC colleagues as appropriate. Creates and maintains regular feedback / communication loop with regional account managers Designs and directs creative strategic customer initiatives to deliver value - adding services and successfully problem-solves with client. Provides oversight and direction of internal team responsible for successful implementation of new programs / products Through strong internal and customer relationships, influences service delivery so that it is constantly superior. Provides feedback to Optum management on the market as represented by clients and drives and implements innovative solutions Work closely with Optum finance to drive profitability including managing renewal planning / negotiation and controlling receivables against targets. Also partners with Optum and UHC colleagues to create financial arrangements that span multiple business units to provide compelling propositions / pricing for both Optum / UHC and the customer Keeps appropriate records of all work and maintain high quality files on each client in SalesForce
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Proven Account Management skills in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships B2B direct Sales / consultative selling / Account management experience; preferably with complex and challenging accounts Must maintain a valid driver's license Valid passport or ability to obtain one within 6 months Evidence of experience with consultative selling Technical competence (Working with understand MS office) Motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator High level of initiative, should be proactive and work well in a team environment Excellent written and oral communication skills Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction 25% or more travel (both domestic and international)Preferred Qualifications:Graduate degree Experience with global customers Knowledge of International EAP, WorkLife, WellBeing industry Careers with Optum.
