This position will be supporting large complex National Accounts. Primary Responsibilities: Analyze and interpret various forms of utilization and healthcare data to identify potential areas for medical cost improvements via products, services and other market trends including ROI projections Serve as the Project management lead for any collaborative initiatives on behalf of the Account Management team and other strategic partners (example: Patient Centered Medical Home outcome measurement) Deliver client specific annual reports, representing high - level, UHC / Optum performance metrics Review UHC / Optum analytic reports to ensure consistency across departments Assist client with highly specialized data warehouse files - Client support includes weekly ad hoc queries as well as formal reporting tools such as a client specific playbook that provides programming support Ongoing playbook maintenance Create a clear, compelling assessment of root causes and actionable/non-actionable contributing factors when opportunities for problem solving arise Participate in customer meetings as subject matter expert to present findings and recommendations to customers Quantify value generated by historically implemented solutions Negotiate complex situations and sensitive situations with a win-win attitude Communicate information openly and in an articulate and professional manner Serve as a trusted advisor to internal and external customers on healthcare cost and quality topics Accountable for timely preparation and delivery of all health analytic deliverables as defined by the customer
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 4+ years of work experience in a corporate setting 3+ years of experience in health care analytics and working with large data sets Advanced level of proficiency working with MS Excel including formulas, calculations, charts, graphs, etc. Strong project management, analytics and presentation skillsMust be willing to travel as requiredPreferred Qualifications:Background with political acumen Management / supervisory experience Basic understanding of a programming language (SQL, SAS, SPSS)Careers at UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual.
