The CQI Nurse Analyst position combines knowledge of diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures and experience within the operations setting of this for the purpose of clinical data collection, reporting structures, and data presentations. The Nurse Analyst will assist in compiling and analyzing data to assist the learning needs of staff specific to quality and safety initiatives. The position of Nurse Analyst requires a high level of clinical judgment, organization, and priority setting. This position will report to the Heart and Vascular Center Quality Data Manager and will work in close collaboration with the department's Quality and Safety RN to create custom reports as needed to identify CQI projects and ad hoc reports.REQUIRED:-- At least three years of acute cardiovascular nursing and information technology related experience-- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing -- Possession of a current California RN License-- Bachelor of Science in Nursing -- Experience working in a clinical setting with demonstrated knowledge of procedures and operations within the diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular setting-- Demonstrated knowledge of cardiovascular registries, state and federal entities, reporting processesPREFERRED:-- Masters of Science in Nursing-- Clinical Cardiology experience strongly preferred-- Research and data collection expertise strongly preferred-- Experience conducting complex data analysis projects as well as monitor and measure the consistency and accuracy of data analysis through statistical analysisSPECIAL REQUIREMENT - Must be able to work occasional overtime, flexible hours, and day/evening shifts - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
