Summary: Ensures the efficient and cost-effective operation of the storeroom facilities associated with Materials Management at the MetroHealth System's main campus and satellite locations. Deploys and maintains the storage/handling/distribution of hospital supplies/equipment. Manages the storeroom database and interacts with necessary procurement systems. Supervises a unionized workforce in a 24 hour per day/7 day per week operation. Works collaboratively with medical staff and supply chain leadership to develop, maintain, and continuously improve programs/processes to ensure full compliance to all applicable policies while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Promotes and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Required: Bachelors Degree in Science or Business. In lieu of a degree, 5 years of warehousing and/or distribution experience will be accepted. Two years of experience supervising a Union workforce. Five years of inventory control experience. Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred: Bachelors of Science Degree in Supply Chain Management. Currently Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), or is a Certified Material and Resource Professional (CMRP) by the American Hospital Association (AHA).
