This person must earn the trust of UnitedHealth Group leaders and work collaboratively to design and implement actionable strategies. The Director, Corporate Business Development will work with executive and business segment leadership across UnitedHealth Group (UnitedHealthcare, Optum and International business units) to maximize the value of significant strategic external relationships through various forms of partnership, joint venture, alliance or other joint ownership structures. The Director, Corporate Business Development will also oversee specific relationships and act as a subject matter expert with respect to these relationships for UnitedHealth Group executive management. In addition, the Director, Corporate Business Development will work collaboratively across the organization to define long-term strategic relationship objectives, assess value, develop actionable value creating initiatives and negotiate definitive agreements. In order to do this, the Director, Corporate Business Development will have a strong understanding of health care industry dynamics, financial and economic analysis and valuation skills, strategic orientation, negotiation skills, leadership competency and creative solution oriented mindset. The Director, Corporate Business Development will also lead growth related special projects.
