The Sr. IT Quality Consultant is responsible for estimating, planning, and coordinating testing activities. This position requires leveraging an understanding of the application environment as well as requirements and specifications to ensure compliance with testing best practices and functional requirements. The position requires strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting and communications skills. The candidate must demonstrate ownership and follow-through in a fast paced, mission critical environment while working collaboratively with a wide range of technical and non-technical personnel. Primary Responsibilities:Manage multiple project releases with multiple dependencies acting as a liaison with IT teams to ensure delivery of high quality product Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems Should be able to Identify resource needs, effectively plan, define test Strategy, provide QA estimate, provide test management and test Reporting throughout the Testing cycle Create and maintain test cases, defects in Rally, Quality Center and/or RTC Performs defect management activities which include problem and issue research, analysis and documentation, working with other cross-functional team members towards issue resolution and closure Ability to prioritize and be responsible for the execution of project tasks in a high pressure environment Perform reviews of automation code Constantly evaluate and enhance the test automation strategy and approach Proactive voice of QA in discussions with development, business analysis, systems analysis, and user acceptance testing State a position, defend it, while maintaining good relationships across the SDLC
Required Qualifications:3+ years of experience in leading a team effort with a collaborative team of diverse associates 5+ years of experience with software testing (integration, functional, regression) Experience with White box, gray box testing Understanding of Object oriented Concepts, Web Application UI model, HTTP, XML, API/ Service Layer Experience working in an agile environment Experience with web services standards and related technologies (XML, SOAP, JSON, etc.) Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as, Selenium, UFT Experience in consumer facing applicationPreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field Healthcare Industry experience, PBM preferably Experience working on Rally tool, ALM 2+ years of knowledge on Relational database concepts Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience Experience in retail technologyCareers with OptumRx.
