The primary responsibility of a people manager is to ensure that his/her subordinates are developed to become successful in their given or potential role, thus coaching and mentoring is very important. Minimum requirement is to coach your coder at least twice a month for mid and top performer. Bottom performer or your focus people can have more than two. Primary Responsibilities: Conduct daily and weekly huddle to discuss strategy to address performance or challenges, provide update and to drive performance Ensure that subordinates reported on time and on the days that they have shift. People manager should be able to drive attendance at all times Update all required data as needed based on company requirement (MAP, EWS, LH, Variable pay) Inventory management including allocation and ensuring that pended charts are completed in a timely manner Respond to query and/or provide feedback to business partners Ensures that the coders are aware of their performance Review audit markdown and conduct error analysis and process related coaching including root cause analysis Ensure coders submit rebuttals to failed audits as necessary Guide coders in doing the rebuttals Complete internal chart audit as deemed required Ensure accurate documentation of coaching sessions provided and attended Respond to query and/or provide feedback to business partners as necessary Send out daily End of Day and Good day/ Bad day report Update dashboards, trackers, business review files, scorecard in a timely manner, when needed Attend scheduled meeting and calibration sessions Plan and conduct engagement activities for the team/process Ensures the performance board is updated weekly Issue corrective action as deemed necessary Ensure that her/his coding skill are intact thus a requirement to code at least 5/week for the process she/he belongs to The requirement may increase depending on the need to keep the inventory at a manageable level Strictly implement company policies and guidelines Request needed learning from the trainers or SMEs Manage utilization at 90% the least Provide floor support to ensure that coders are assisted real time Overall accountable for the performance of his/her team Any additional task that maybe required from the process he/she belongs to Manage a team of certified coder either Surgery or IP This may also be for a single or multiple facilities
