And we do it all with every action focused on our shared values of Integrity, Compassion, Relationships, Innovation and Performance.Solves organizational IT problems by leading small / medium projects, writing project requirements, handling client implementations, researching and resolving client issues, monitoring critical applications and projects, and / or executing delivery of quality software (requirements, testing, documentation, training, etc.).Primary Responsibilities:Analyzes data, identifies business process changes, and recommends business process improvements to assist with productivity, efficiency, and innovationIndependently researches and resolves internal and external client issuesUtilizes system interfaces to review business data, check examples, and / or update dataPrepares business requirements (supervisor reviewed) for small and medium scope projects in order to write efficient software solutionsCreates and executes test plans for delivery of quality software solutions with limited assistance from others; including business (UAT) testing and post implementation validation testingHandles multiple small projects in varying steps in the development life cycleProvides documentation, including project updates, in accordance with department standards to users and other staffPerforms daily, weekly and monthly tasks to ensure system applications are processing as expectedUtilizes configuration tools to set up new members, users, and other process functions in the system (implementation support)Assists with small client or process implementationsBuilds strong application knowledge in 1-2 critical areasMaintains patient privacy and confidentiality under requirements of federal and state law, including HIPAA, and in accordance with Helios' policyAssumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed
Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GED 2+ years of experience working in a workers' compensation role and / or health care role involving any of the following: analyzing data; business process changes; research / resolution of issues; creating / executing test plans; small projects with SDLCExperience with business processes or business systems processesPreferred Qualifications:Experience in a Business Systems Analyst or related roleBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field, or a High School Diploma / GED with 2+ years of Programming, Systems Analysis, or Process Analysis Experience with Optum Business and System environmentOptumRx is an empowering place for people with the flexibility to help create change.
