Primary Responsibilities: Analyze all aspects of the existing infrastructure and recommends modifications that will enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability and scalability Work with teammates, clients and other teams to identify and address systems problems Evaluate new developments and recommend infrastructure modifications Provide in depth consultation to application teams on a variety of different applications Assist in defining standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics Participate in the development of business strategy Develop and manage business plans to achieve objectives Lead large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences Evaluate system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility Provide day to day support for the Network Attached Storage environment Fulfill requests for NAS storage as well as troubleshoot/resolve NAS storage alerts/issues Assist with the forecasting and planning of NAS capacity additions, NAS utilization, and consumption Coordinate and perform NAS hardware/software installs, configurations and upgrades Identify requirements and work with NAS vendors on all phases of the procurement process Represent the NAS and/or storage team during meetings, discussions with other teams and when assigned as a project resource Participate in 24/7 On Call rotation Company thought leader Functional SME Resource to senior leadership
Required Qualifications: 2+ years' experience administering Network Attached Storage (NAS) Systems 2+ years' experience with local & remote storage replication 2+ years' experience with CIFS, NFS, and FTP protocols 2+ years' experience with Protection Manager 1+ year of scripting experience Preferred Qualifications: NetApp certification Enterprise class storage administration experience (SAN or NAS) Windows File Server experience Active Directory experience Technology Careers with Optum.
