Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities:Participate as an integral team member to: Create quarterly trend forecast and track monthly trend performance as well as other key metrics of the fully insured book of business Provide quarterly regional trend performance tracking Provide insight and identify opportunity for the business based on trend forecast and trend performance Identify issues/unusual trend and provide meaningful explanations and insights as well as help develop mitigation plan Analyze/interpret the results of the analysis and develop appropriate conclusions and recommendations Evaluate market events and business issues and quantify the impact on book of business Support Ad Hoc pharmacy cost and utilization analytics Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and develop business questions for analytic investigation (e.g., utilization analysis) Utilize applicable data/analytical tools to extract and analyze data (e.g., SAS, SQL, Excel, Tableau)
Required Qualifications:BS or BA Degree 5+ years of business experience with emphasis in financial analysis or other analytical functions 3+ years of experience in the Healthcare or Pharmacy field 3+ years of SAS programming experience Strong Pharmacy claims data Analytic expertise to identify relevant and actionable study components Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiencesPreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree BS or BA in Health Economics, Statistics, Healthcare services research, Finance, Business, or related PBM experience Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to organize work effectively and efficientlyCareers with Optum.
