In this position, the Radiology Technologist, Limited Permit Holder, performs radiographic procedures in order to obtain desired radiographic results according to physicains specifications that includes, but is not limited to, transferring patients for examinations, ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, and assisting with the x-ray examiantion process. This position will only be allowed to work when a Registered Radiologic Technologist is on duty and present in the same facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Diagnostic X-Ray Procedures
Selects and operates equipment, including film cassettes and markers, while selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.
Assists physicians in performance of examinations by mixing and pouring contrast media, administering opaque medium holding and turning patients, assisting in sterile procedures, and other related duties as required
Supervises and evaluates student radiographers in the clinical setting
Enrolled with active participation in an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program
Must possess a Montana State Limited Radiologic Permit to perform radiologic examinations
Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within three months of hire
Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to successfully function in a fast paced, service oriented environment
Experience in understanding and usage of computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as the ability to learn applications relevant to the position
