Primary Responsibilities:Act as Functional Architect on ORMB implementation for conducting the Product fit-gap analysis/solution and for delivering the Functional DesignDesigning, writing and vetting functional specification for configuration, enhancements, new designs and interfacesParticipate in business development, including customer presentations and RFP responses related to Solution Architect role/functionWork with Business and IT teams to understand problems with software and develops specifications to resolve themResolve customer complaints and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancementsProvide leadership to the implementation team by promoting consistency across the team, including methodology, deliverable templates, terminology, etc.Mentor/develop other delivery architects into functional architectsPredict emerging customer needs and develop innovative solutions to meet themSolve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the businessDevelop and manage business plans to achieve objectivesLead large, complex projects to achieve key business objectivesTranslate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiencesInfluence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approachesProvide support during system testing, user acceptance testing, Go-Live and warranty periodsPerform quality and function reviews during the design and development phasesDevelop detailed estimates for design and development phases based on functional requirements
Required Qualifications:ORMB/CC&B lead designer or functional architect experience with at least one ORMB/CC&B implementation7+ years overall relevant experience, including 5+ years in ORMB or CC&BExperience working with XMLShould have sound understanding of the functional working of ORMB/CC&B productSuccessful full lifecycle implementation experience of ORMB/CC&BKnowledge on object-oriented developmentDemonstrated success in software engineering best practices Good understanding of SQL, relational database design and normalizationAbility to read and understand data modelsAbility to lead solution workshops and presentation of solution to IT and business teamsAbility to clearly articulate the implications of design / architectural decisions, issues and plans to technology and business partnersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:BS Degree in Computer Science or related experience Experience with commercial software development and / or healthcare industry experienceExperience with Agile MethodologyExperience in Application Design and Development Methodology Technology Careers with Optum.
