Primary Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation of annual Medicare Advantage bid filing Analyze and interpret quantitative data to create and review exhibits based on detailed data setsPerform data mining and analysis that impacts pricing and risk assumptionsConduct and evaluate studies on pricing, utilization and health care costsAre you ready to set the pace as an expert problem solver? You will be challenged with ensuring data makes sense and knowing when to dig deeper. You will also be tasked with communicating the results of your work in a meaningful way to broad audiences.
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceMust be on the Actuarial exam track, having passed 2 or more Actuarial exams 2+ years of experience working in a corporate environment including experience collecting, analyzing and summarizing qualitative/quantitative dataExpertise working with formulas, calculations, charts, graphs in MS ExcelPreferred Qualifications: Experience working in finance or the health care industry 1+ year of experience building Actuarial models in SQL (Structured Query Language), SAS (Statistical Analysis System) and/or VBA (Visual Basic for Applications)Raising our game in actuarial science will help UnitedHealth Group maintain our leadership for years to come.
