This role is the client's first impression of Optum organization and want to start the out on the right foot as far as on - board correctly and accurately for Prior Authorization. Individuals need to think critically and function independently and be able to offer solutions and resolution on the fly to clients with minimal supervision. Work with PA platform coding Team to ensure new clients are implemented based on contractual obligations, etc. to ensure proper workflow for Prior Authorization Operations Team. Primary Responsibilities:Individuals need to think critically and function independently and be able to offer solutions and resolution on the fly to clients with minimal supervisionManage and lead setup of new client implementations and existing client updates by delivering, on time, client implementations and Prior Authorization projects, ensuring that all required tasks necessary to implement the client or on - board existing client update is completeWork with PA platform coding Team to ensure new clients are implemented based on contractual obligations, etc. to ensure proper workflow for Prior Authorization Operations TeamCollaborate with all applicable teams across the enterprise to on - board new clients and maintain existing clients by serving as communicator of implementation / migration information and convey to appropriate internal departments when applicableReview all material as it pertains to on - boarding new clients to ensure can be compliant and operationally and technically - sound when client is implemented / migratedParticipate in weekly internal and external meetings for client implementationsEnsure PA Survey / Tracker / Dashboard entries align with current status and are on track for go - live dateReview internal SOPs throughout the year to ensure no updates to process / procedures, etcResolve ServiceNow requests and ServiceNow Tasks / metrics are on track (maintain zero % overdue)Client facing responsibilitiesOther duties as assigned
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED (or higher)1+ years of experience in Prior Authorization or PBM industry Pharmacy Technician certified Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (input and update data) and Microsoft Word (create and edit documents)Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (or higher) Knowledgeable in Medicare (Chapter 18) Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Project (manage new client implementations) Demonstrated process improvement, workflow, benchmarking, and / or evaluation of business processesSoft Skills: Excellent communication, time / project management, problem solving, organizational and analytical skills Individuals need to think critically and function independently and be able to offer solutions and resolution on the fly to clients with minimal supervision OptumRx isan empowering place for people with the flexibility to help create change.Innovation is part of the job description.
