In this position, the Behavioral Health Counselor provides a wide variety of psychotherapeutic services for common mental and emotional difficulties as well as providing comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services to employers, employees, and family members.
Provides comprehensive intake examinations and mental health assessments
Determines accurate DSM IVR multi-axial diagnosis based on clinical information.
Provides Mental Health services to individuals, couples, families and groups, using a variety of treatment approaches and tools.
Provides education and/or training services to Employee Assistance Program contracted companies and groups.
Makes appropriate referrals for patients needing services outside the scope of BHA/EAP.
Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need.
May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
Performs other duties as assigned and in accordance with regulatory, legal, and organizational policies and procedures.
