Primary Responsibilities: Position coordinates, supervises and is accountable for the site operations as well as daily activities and performance of team (20-25 staff)Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to the team to ensure quality, productivity, and regulatory / contractual goals and requirements are metProvides a positive work environment and achieves creativity and teamwork among employeesSets team direction, resolves problems and provides guidance to teamEnsures policy and procedures are appropriately followed. Identifies and communicates improvement opportunities and reports to the department ManagerParticipates and provides representation in inter - department meetings and workgroups with the Clinical Services & Client Services teams of OptumRx to ensure Prior Authorization department issues and needs are addressedParticipates in quality improvement and process enhancement projects as assigned by management
Required Qualifications:Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm D 3 years practicing pharmacist experience1+ year of experience leading tasks, staff or projectsExcellent leadership and interpersonal skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Preferred Qualifications:Prior Authorization experienceManaged care or PBM experienceExperience operationalizing medication clinical guidelines and / or plan benefits UnitedHealth Group is working to create the health care system of tomorrow.
