The successful candidate will lead and manage a highly technical team and must have a strong leadership background in order to coach, support, and lead the team in order to deliver solutions. The candidate must take a balanced view on delivery of solutions between architecture, time, cost, and quality and be able to communicate effectively to non-technical audiences and stakeholders.Primary Responsibilities:Developing cross-team agreements centered on promoting enhanced communication between business and technology for increased process efficiencyCollaborate with Product Director, Product Manager and Technology Director to determine roadmap priorities and what information needs to be disseminated to whomManage presentation and deliver updates bi-weekly to executive teamLead Scrum of Scrums daily meetings to identify impediments and resolve cross dependenciesFunction as a servant leader for and between the product and development teams to ensure communication is constant and bring forth issues to stakeholders as they ariseReview CA Agile Central (Rally) throughout the day to move resources where neededPlan for future Program Increments through reviewing and prioritizing the backlog, verify scheduled features deliver business value and production ready functionality, assign work based on team velocity and confirm team commitments for each of the sprints in the releaseMonitor team progress while sprintingSchedule and conduct sprint reviews and sprint demosLead the delivery of quality solutions monitoring progress of the team against the schedule Strong ability to communicate and coordinate with business teams, architecture teams and other internal teams to get the deliverables completed on schedule Be the innovator for your team and willing to take risks Big Picture thinker but ability to execute with details. Be the subject-matter expert for the span of control area
Required Qualifications:Experience and understanding of the Integrated Eligibility program which includes an understanding of programs like: SNAP, TANF, Healthcare, WIC, LIHEAPPrevious experience by promoting cohesive relationships across service areas through creation of effective working relationships with units outside of Eligibility and Work ServicesPrevious experience in prioritizing the product roadmap with joint Product Owner Leads and the Product Manager to ensure that product owner knowledge was leveraged in order to gain efficiencies in areas of analysis and definition of capabilities, features and user storiesExperience in serving as a Subject Matter Expert for the Integrated Eligibility Project to ensure end user roles were understood and considered during requirement analysis and definitionPrevious experience directly managing a technical team, to include HR responsibilities including Developing performance measures through capacity studies/data collection to increase accountability of staffUsing interpersonal skills to encourage employee growth through monthly conversations surrounding performance, achievements, upcoming changes, goal creation and ongoing development actionsAbility to contribute with innovative ideas to improve system capabilities Experience leading a team in an Agile / SCRUM environment for more than one end-to-end productExperience of translating business requirements into project specifications Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experiencePreferred Qualifications:Strong working knowledge of Agile.Understanding and experience in product life-cycle management Technology Careers with Optum.
