Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs various ultrasound procedures using ultrasound equipment to make clinical diagnostic images for use in diagnosis of disease by radiologist or other physician. Assists radiologist or other physician during invasive procedures performed under ultrasound and according to established practice and procedure. Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required include: 1.Knowledge of radiology and ultrasonic technology at a level normally acquired through completion of an accredited program in Ultrasound Technology. 2.RDMS certification. 3.Ability to work effectively with others. 4.Ability to organize work and time to accommodate workload, meetings and/or emergencies. 5.Ability to provide care for patients in the following age groups: Infant - Birth to 1 year; Child – 2 to 12 years; Adolescent – 13 to 18 years; Adult – 19 to 65 years; Geriatric –over 65 years. 6.Ability to lift and maneuver equipment; ability to position and transfer patients using assistive devices and proper body mechanics.
