If you're looking for a better place to use yourpassion, your ideas and your desire to drive change, this is the place to be.It's an opportunity to do your life's best work.Primary Responsibilities: Follow up on assigned insurance accounts Make outgoing insurance calls on accounts Notify Management of any issues or concerns that may arise Our ideal candidate is an adept communicator; deadline oriented, and self - motivated, with excellent follow - up and collection experience This function is responsible for insurance premium collections Positions in this function contact insurance companies to determine reason for payment delinquency Negotiate and advise on collection of overdue claims and take appropriate action to recover overdue payments Handles unresolved inquiries / issues Responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and managing organization policies on collection practices Submit written appeals to payers to overcome denials
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED (or higher) 1+ years of medical collections experience in a hospital, clinic, doctor's office, or any other medical setting Ability to maneuver and operate Windows PC applications Must understand the following medical terminology / processes: modifiers, CPT codes, ICD-10, deductible, co-insurancePreferred Qualifications: Ability to process collections through BlueCross / BlueShield Ability to create and modify spreadsheets, documents, and emails within Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook Careers with OptumInsight.
