We are seeking a driven and results oriented Consultant style Project Manager/Associate Director to work in our Optum Care Delivery team in our Provider Referrals Network arena. Primary Responsibilities:Lead or contribute to the development of program or project scope statements, in consultation with applicable stakeholders (e.g., program/project charter, Statement of Work, Business Vision Document) Work with resource managers to drive the identification of the skills, duration and effort required for successful project execution Collect, analyze and maintain financial forecast information (e.g., labor, hardware, software), using input from applicable sources Work with stakeholders to establish/apply quality objectives, criteria, standards and levels using appropriate quality management methods Develop, communicate and implement program/project risk/issue management plans and strategies (e.g., mitigation, avoidance, transfer, acceptance) Lead functional or matrixed segment teams or projects and serve as a leader/ mentor by reviewing work performed by others and provide recommendation for improvement Engage with local provider organizations to support, augment and accelerate efforts to improve operational coordination of patient care Collect/synthesize best practices from across a network of provider organizations and share feedback across the organization
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in related business or healthcare field 7+ years of client solutions and/or consulting project manager experience using data and information to make informed business decisions 2+ years or more Heath Care industry experience (Provider Network side beneficial) Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint Ability to work in fast-paced environment with ambition, client focus and innovative ideas that will enhance and improve results in a new program and product culture Travel required around 25-30%Preferred Qualifications:Masters degree or MBA Previous experience leading and/or coaching a team PMP CertificationOptum is a diversified health services and innovation company where data, technology, people and action combine to make great things happen every day.
