Make yourself at home with us and start doing your life's best work.(sm)We are looking for a Sr. IBMi Operating Systems Consultant to work with a team who is responsible for monitoring multiple partitions and the health of software and hardware replication. The new hire will ensure partitions are in a recoverable state in the event of an outage in order to perform role swaps. This will include monitoring and auditing the replication environment, ensure that policy and procedures for high availability and disaster recovery are up to date, and work toward process improvements to reduce overall outage time. Primary Responsibilities:Evaluates system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility Analyze all aspects of the existing infrastructure and recommends modifications that will enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability and scalability Work with teammates, clients and other teams to identify and address systems problems Evaluate new developments and recommend infrastructure modifications Provide in depth consultation to application teams on a variety of different applications Assist in defining standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics Participates in the development of business strategy Develops and manages business plans to achieve objectives Leads large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
Required Qualifications:5+ years of experience with IBMi 3+ years of experience with MIMIX 3+ years of experience with CL and/or RPG ProgrammingPreferred Qualifications:iSeries AS400 Experience with PowerHA desired Proficiency with MS Visio Technical writing skills Healthcare Industry experience Database Administration experienceTechnology Careers with Optum.
