And we do it all with every action focused on our shared valuesof Integrity, Compassion, Relationships, Innovation & Performance.Reporting to the Lead Concept Owner, the Senior Business Analyst is part of a team responsible for achieving over $900 million dollars in annual savings for UHC Fully Insured and ASO along with increasing IOI for Optum through a combination of existing program expansion and new program ideation. This role is responsible for building out, identifying and supporting the Program Optimization reporting functions. These developed reports will be utilized at all levels of the organization including leadership. Determining the correct review approach, and ensuring the reporting is delivered accurately and timely is an essential function of the role. Within this accountability, the reporting analyst will provide leadership on the most effective methodologies and metrics to employ to the processes.Primary Responsibilities:Researches and responds to inquiries and makes referrals to appropriate resourcesActively participates in program / project related meetings / discussionsResearch and take appropriate action to reporting functionalityInitiate and performing data validation and quality control checksParticipates in strategic planning with regards to program reportingPlay a key in designing new deployment plans or re-designing existing reporting processesPrepares project / program level reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trendsBuild methods to monitors project progress for tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports and recommending actions
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (or higher) or High School Diploma / GED with 3+ years equivalent experience 5+ years of experience in a business analysis role with 2+ in a data compiling environment Experience creating pivot tables, creating formulas, and merging data within Microsoft Excel Experience with Microsoft Visio (create process flows with multiple swim lanes) Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint (create and modify presentations)Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong data analysis skills and an entrepreneurial, self-motivated attitude Highly organized, detail-oriented, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated teamwork skills Ability to function independently and effectively in a self-directed environment Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work and present effectively with all levels of leadership, as well as, business partners in other UHG entities Ability to understand and influence the necessary and appropriate actions to ensure program/project success; a bias for action is critical Proven ability to operate in a highly dynamic environmentCareers with Optum.
