The Cardiology Clinic Device Technician (Hospital Lab Tech II) performs pacemaker, ICD and loop recorder evaluations to ensure normal device function and safe programmed settings. The incumbent will perform electrocardiograms, Holter Monitors, and Cardiac Stress Tests in an outpatient setting. In addition, the incumbent must be able to perform functional analysis testing and adjustment of implanted cardiac devices such as pacemakers, loop recorders and AICDs in person. The Device Technician is responsible for recognizing abnormalities in recordings and presenting findings to the physician. This role services adult and geriatric patients.REQUIRED- Experience with device evaluation, PaceArt system data entry and reporting, and documentation.- Extensive knowledge of arrhythmia with performing ECGs, Cardiac Stress Tests, pacemakers, AICD and implantable device analysis systems.- Experience analyzing and reprogramming cardiac pacemaker, ICD, and loop recorders (Biotronik, Boston Scientific, Medtronic and St.Jude).- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.PREFERRED- IBHRE Certified Cardiac Device Specialist.- Recent EPS Lab or Device clinic experience.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT.
