The Business Tech Support Analyst provides technical management to the users of the California Reportable Disease Information Exchange (CalREDIE) application for the Division of Communicable Disease Control (DCDC).REQUIRED-Advanced broad knowledge of disease surveillance, surveillance systems and epidemiology functions.-Demonstrated excellent communication and organizational skills to collect and convey business requirements to institution wide users and to technical staff to ensure all requirements are captured thoroughly and appropriately.-Demonstrated skills and understanding of the CalREDIE systems complete industry practices to document data flow diagrams and business requirements.-Demonstrated successful interpersonal, oral and written, communication skills to effectively interact with diverse groups, colleagues, public officials, and supervisors.-Extensive knowledge and experience with public health informatics and of current State of California public health information systems preferred.-Extensive knowledge of desktop and business technical support systems.-Thorough knowledge of UCDHS and UCD policies and procedures.-Ability to make informed, sound judgment in selecting the ideal system method and techniques while consulting and troubleshooting with customers/users. -Proficient ability with the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
