Our Compensation Department has a high-performance culture that delivers compensation services to Cedars-Sinai employees. Our Sr. Compensation Analyst partners with other HR team members in order to deliver strong outcomes. The position provides analytical support in developing and administering organizational compensation and performance management programs and processes. The Sr. Compensation Analyst will provide sound compensation recommendations in order to attract and retain top talent and help drive organizational growth.
Summary of Essential Job Duties:
Consults with assigned client groups to provide guidance and interpretation of compensation policies and programs, and evaluate requests for changes and updates.
Conducts reviews of job levels, assesses and makes determinations regarding requests for new job titles, and updates job descriptions in conjunction with HR and management.
Conducts benchmarking, performs data analysis and formulates recommendations, to ensure competitive, cost-effective, and legally compliant compensation programs and practices. Conducts special market studies, where appropriate, to validate or establish competitive pay strategies for specific jobs.
Manages assigned compensation programs, such as bonus and incentive plan administration, including the roll out and communication of changes and assessment of program effectiveness.
Documents methodology, assumptions and decisions on compensation issues to ensure consistency of decisions and coordination with other compensation and human resources colleagues.
Conducts cost and other statistical analyses as needed for market adjustments, shift and premium pay evaluations and audits, and other pay practices.
Identifies opportunities for process improvements and introduction of best practices. Conducts market and best practice research to support compensation decisions, and makes program recommendations to ensure competitive pay, retention and motivation.
Prepares a variety of ad hoc reports and analyses at the direction of management.
Generates reports using Query tools, Crystal (Business Objects) Reporting (more advanced reports involving HTML, SQR, SQL applications). Applies statistical analysis to large databases using the advanced Microsoft Excel, including Vlookup and pivot tables in order to make data-based decisions and recommendations.
Coordinates with HRIS, Benefits, Organization Development, Labor Relations, Recruitment, Finance and Legal departments as needed.
