Under the supervision of UC Davis and the general direction of the Chief of the CalREDIE Surveillance Section of CDPH, the IAPD Data Quality Analyst is responsible for providing both corrective and preventive data quality interventions on incoming and existing data for CalREDIE, including for electronic case reporting (eCR). Additionally, the IAPD Data Quality Analyst executes data quality protocols for CalREDIE, CalREDIE eCR, and oversees data modifications to correct errors and serves as a liaison between CalREDIE and clinical care and electronic health record system vendors to facilitate troubleshooting of data quality issues.REQUIRED-Experience performing data comparisons, identifying and troubleshooting issues quickly and efficiently, documenting the status, monitoring the output of projects and processes-Experience developing specific goals, balancing multiple, competing program demands and developing plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish tasks-Experience coordinating diverse activities to ensure completion of projects, tasks and assignments-Experience utilizing common software products such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel-Experience using complex, modern information technology and communication tools-Knowledge of public health reporting standards and ability to apply local and national standards consistently-Knowledge of health related vendor products such as EHRs-Ability to contribute as a strong member of a self-directed work team and work independently with little or no supervision-Ability to quickly learn data fields commonly used in clinic practices to record clinical visit encounters-Ability to apply high attention to detail to work products within a high-pressure environment-Ability to build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members-Ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences in both written and verbal methods, clearly express ideas using appropriate language, and organize ideas in an objective manner with thorough translation/explanation of information-Ability to effectively communicate the capabilities and limitations of information technologies, including quickly learning new terminologySPECIAL REQUIREMENT - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
