The Technical Project Manager (Tchl Project Mgt Profl 4) is within the Enterprise Applications department and may work on IT projects associated with Financial, Human Resources, Identity Access Management, Payroll, Supply Chain and other administrative functions. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for project planning and management, business and systems analysis, project budgeting, implementation and on-going management of key IT initiatives.The Technical Project Manager will lead the implementation of projects working with cross functional teams, and subject matter experts throughout the delivery process. This includes all aspects of systems implementation from requirements gathering, analysis and design, configuration and test, through deployment and support of various systems.REQUIRED-Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.-Extensive project planning, leadership and analysis experience with significant advanced experience as a Project Manager leading large scale IT projects independently is required.-Demonstrated capacity to anticipate obstacles and plan for contingencies.-Skills to analyze complex information or problems in an objective manner and derives logical conclusions to provide a sound basis for establishing priorities, selecting appropriate courses of action for pursuit or recommendations to others, and to resolve.-Excellent communicator; comfortable and effective in opening channels of communication, listening to others, and cultivating a healthy, productive, and ongoing dialogue. -Demonstrated effective writing skills including the ability to analyze data from multiple sources, conduct research, perform analysis of diverse information, and prepare and present meaningful reports and briefs.PREFERRED-Relevant PM Certification or education (PMP or equivalent) -Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Project or other project management tools.-Strong foundational knowledge of user applications and hardware technologies (servers, storage, databases, etc).-Academic institution or large integrated health system experience.-Experience with Financial, Human Resources, Supply Chain and Administrative applications.-Experience with integrated multi-vendor applications.-Experience leading projects with contractors/consultants.-Experience with system interfaces-Experience with Request For Proposals (RFPs) -Working knowledge of technology-related initiatives and an understanding of impact to the organization of such initiatives-Knowledge and understanding of University policies and procedures.SPECIAL REQUIREMENT - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
