The Academic Recruitment- Lead has primary responsibility for all faculty and academic recruitment. This includes providing consultation, analysis, review, and instruction of the academic recruitment process, recruitment waivers and Tentative Offer Letters to executive leadership and department personnel. This position also serves as a recruitment advisor to executive leadership, academic personnel analysts and department leadership, and primary liaison and expert for the Partner Opportunity Program in the School of Medicine, and management of all State of California special clinical permit process. Works collaboratively with the Academic HR Analyst team and stakeholders to bridge workflow processes to ensure smooth operation of the recruitment process. This individual also partners with leadership and the Academic Analyst Lead to set performance metrics, formalize standard operating procedures and training curriculum, and assess the Schools of Health Training needs and provide training in collaboration with the Vice Provost Office.-Extensive demonstrated knowledge and experience in academic recruitment policy and procedure.-Advanced knowledge and understanding of Academic Personnel policies and procedures, including appointment, merit, appraisal and promotion process-Knowledge of or experience with UC Recruit, MyInfoVault, PeopleSoft, PPS and Outlook.-Strong leadership skills.-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.-Good interpersonal skills and abilities to promote teamwork-Experience with conflict management and resolution-Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate complex information in Health System training and information sessions-Extensive experience in conducting one-on-one and group trainings.SPECIAL REQUIREMENT-Must be able to work variable schedule as needed.-THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
