The Informatics Programmer Analyst (Data Systems Analyst 3) is responsible for investigating, designing, gathering, and implementing data systems in preparation for projects and/or for use within clinical research. This position is responsible for the maintenance, support, and customer training of applications and tools such as Clinical Trials Management Systems (Velos eResearch, REDCap), Biorepositories (FreezerWorks, LIMS), Faculty Profile Management Systems (Elsevier Pure), Investigational Drug Management Systems. The Informatics Programmer Analyst also manages data source acquisition, ETL (transform, and load) processes, and application development for a variety of projects. These responsibilities include translating, preparing, and formatting structured and unstructured data for consumption for use in reporting and analysis; serving multiple clinical data systems and creating data dictionary models.REQUIRED-Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience-Experience with the maintenance, and support of customer facing healthcare systems and applications, which may include, but is not limited to: Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR), Clinical Trials Management Systems, Biorepositories, Faculty Profile Management Systems, and Investigational Drug Management Systems. -Extensive scripting and coding experience utilizing SQL or PL/SQL.-Experience gathering user requirements, designing and creating custom solutions /code to meet objectives. -Experience with data integration, data repository design, and management of enterprise data repository systems.-Experience with Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL), including the ability to writing complex stored procedures. -Experience with data management, data security, and privacy -Experienced in developing reporting and analytics for internal and external use in a business unit. -Writing skills needed to translate system processes and associated manual processes into clear instructions and explanations. -Customer training and education experience.-Vendor management experience-Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly and effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals to secure and/or provide information to clarify situations, resolve problems, and negotiate services and/or agreements. PREFERRED -Advanced Degree in Health Informatics, Bioinformatics, Public Health, or related field. -Experience with ETL Tools (e.g., SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Pentaho, Ensemble, Talend, Informatica).-Experience with any of the following applications: Velos eResearch, REDCap, FreezerWorks, Elsevier Pure, Epic/Clarity.-Statistical Analysis programs (e.g., Python, R, SAS, or SPSS).-Experience developing, implementing and supporting data warehouses.-Working knowledge and application of HIPAA.SPECIAL REQUIREMENT - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
