The Financial Analyst, Senior is responsible for performing in-depth data analysis and reporting in a variety of areas, with a heavy focus on the ACO line of business and includes varying degrees of complexity. This position is able to function with a high level of efficiency with minimal direction and supervision and functions well in a fast-paced environment with constant change. An ideal candidate has a strong accounting background and excels at data analysis, as well as exhibits a proactive mentality
Essential Job Outcomes
Complex analysis is completed on a variety of topics to provide leadership with knowledge of performance and opportunities. Analyst is expected to independently and proactively identify areas for further analysis.
ACO Visibility Board reflects accurate, pertinent information and is updated regularly. Data is succinct, organized and provides leadership with actionable tasks.
Subject matter expert on ACO financial metrics, agreements and requirements.
Complex journal entries are independently created and posted by established deadlines. Entries are accurate, easy to understand and necessary backup is included.
Creation and maintenance of IBNR, including analytics on trends and outliers
Understanding of clinical metrics and impact to ACO performance
Detailed budget is completed in collaboration with department leaders. Analyst is expected to independently and proactively review projected performance.
A thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles commensurate with employee’s assigned accounting duties is maintained.

Five or more years progressive experience in financial analysis, preferably in the healthcare industry
Five or more years progressive experience in accounting, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations and financial statement preparation
Demonstrated solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products
Experience with PeopleSoft and Epic a plus
Excellent communication, customer service and sound organization skills
Able to operate in a fast-paced environment and can handle change quickly and efficiently
Must be able to multi-task, and work both independently and as part of a team
Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
CPA or MBA a plus
