Summary: Works under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager or Supervisor. Serves as a team member in one of the following Technology work groups: Service Delivery, Network Operations, Network Engineering, or Telecommunications. Performs the specific duties and general competencies required of the team and role for which s/he is assigned. Assess, evaluates, designs, develops, plans, tests, and implements IT Infrastructure Technology solutions in collaboration with other IT technical teams and customers to meet computing/telephony requirements. Subject matter expert in one or more IT infrastructure technologies. Resolves complex infrastructure and application integration issues. Works independently and as part of a team and is accountable for meeting or exceeding the expected outcomes and goals of both. Demonstrates sense of urgency and ownership, high degree of self-motivation, commitment, integrity, enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work. Committed to providing excellent end user technology support and customer service to staff, physicians, business partners, and vendors. 24x7 responsibility includes: ability and willingness to be on call, work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. May perform other duties as assigned.
Detailed responsibilities: * Systems Engineer V - Demonstrates the ability to perform all of the standard work/tasks listed on the System Engineer 5 competency checklist (Role Specific). - Establishes the operational documentation, procedures, and systems by which the IT infrastructure is proactively monitored & managed to meet or exceed availability, capacity, performance SLAs and security standards. - Develops, documents, tests, and updates IT infrastructure BC/DR Procedures. - Demonstrates expert level knowledge of equipment and systems/technology necessary to support the IT infrastructure. - System and network management: Administers IT Infrastructure environment, including: AD, VM, Citrix, Sharepoint, Exchange, Storage. - Performs advanced problem determination and resolution of enterprise servers/systems issues; works with other associates and/or vendors as necessary and demonstrates expert level proficiency using various tools and advanced analysis techniques to efficiently and effectively analyze root cause problems/issues and take appropriate corrective actions. - Leads large infrastructure projects so that appropriate resources are allocated, timeline/critical path are identified, and outcomes are met. Also, servers as technical lead for enterprise projects.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Essential: Bachelor Degree
Essential: 6+ years Infrastructure (Windows Server / VMWare) experience in an enterprise environment. Systems architect experience with one or more of the following in a large corporate environment: Active Directory, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Citrix, VMWare V-Sphere / NSX, DHCP, Exchange, Office Productivity Stack. Experience Preferred: PowerShell Scripting
Certifications: One or more of the following MCSE
