Assumes responsibility and accountability for intake of new patients in cancer service line, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for patients, physicians and staff. Displays high levels of collaboration with cancer center physicians, referring physicians and their staff to provide timely, comprehensive care to patients. Creates a culture of excellence in patient service. Responsible for using multiple patient information systems with a high degree of accuracy to ensure that there is comprehensive, retrievable information on all patients for management of the oncology program and reporting of outcomes data. Promotes safety and quality by accurately performing work, evaluating and improving processes and adhering to policies and standards. Effectively participates in relevant tumor conferences, operational meetings and staff meetings. Serves as a valued member of the Patient Access cancer center teams. Offers additional help and seeks help when needed. Helps with coverage of other team members when necessary. Completes other duties as assigned.
