This position will be working in locations where practice dynamics change yearly to support physicians who are in training/learning to specialize in the primary care fields of family and internal medicine and/or pediatrics. This role will be responsible for assisting primary care physicians/nurse practitioners in the examination and treatment of patients to deliver quality patient care and operate as a team leader and mentor of office staff in the practice to facilitate functions and duties.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School Graduate or Equivalent
A graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program or
Hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant is required; 3 years' experience is preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge to take and record vital signs
Ability to assist providers with examinations and procedures
Knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of managed care insurance
Knowledge of current ICD and CPT coding requirements
Knowledge of referral process
Ability to administer medications to all age groups
Ability to perform as a team leader and delegate work assignments
Ability to organize and complete various tasks simultaneously
Ability to apply good oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of computer software
Knowledge of physician office systems and practices
