We are honored to have the first and only hospitals in the DC metro area to earn five out of five stars for quality by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), an independent government agency. Inova Fairfax, Inova Fair Oaks, and Inova Mount Vernon Hospitals earned 5-star ratings, which is better than every other hospital in Northern Virginia and the Washington, DC area. Inova Alexandria Hospital received a three-star rating, also better than many of our regional competitors. Responsible for the development and growth of the Thoracic Surgical Oncology program within Inova's Schar Cancer Institute and aspire to national best practices.
Work to maintain an integrated culture amongst medical staff and departments to advance quality, safety, patient experience, physician/provider satisfaction and build strategic position.
Participate and build, as necessary, lines of communication between the department, the medical staff, and other hospital departments to ensure harmonious interaction between the Department and other hospital operations.
