Review and resolve denials to ensure timely reconsideration and/or appeal submission to insurance payers.
Ability to organize and prioritize assigned duties to meet department or management objectives.
Maintain knowledge of current payer policies.
Meet department-specified productivity and quality standards.
Advanced ability to think critically and resolve accounts with minimal supervision.
Establish and maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with payers and Inova staff in order to resolve claim denials.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Understand Revenue Cycle responsibilities as they pertain to follow-up functions and communicate with other Revenue Cycle departments to resolve denial.
Monitor and complete accounts assigned to Follow Up Representative through ownership of predetermined work queues.
Perform related duties as required or assigned by Department leadership.
