The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the High Reliability Coordinator (HRO) responsible for leading, coordinating, facilitating and providing ongoing support to VASNHS on its journey to HRO including, but not limited to: assessment/evaluation activities, implementation of performance improvement activities and evaluation of performance while collaborating with various services within VASNHS. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and leading HRO activities for this complex healthcare system. The position is responsible for implementation of HRO principles throughout the Medical Center. Duties included but are not limited to: * Assessment/evaluation of HRO activities. * Implementation of performance improvement activities and evaluation of performance while collaborating with various services within VASNHS. * Assist clinical and administrative staff to carry out the functions and activities to implement High Reliability Organization (HRO) culture and principals expected of them. * Utilize data and comparative analytical processes in recommending design and implementation of innovative programs to improve service excellence, customer satisfaction, and compliance to patient care and regulatory standards. * Function as a facilitator in implementing action plans and process improvement strategies at service and healthcare system level. * Contribute ideas and recommendations for the establishment of standards of care, policies, and objectives for the enhancement of HRO concepts/culture organization wide.
