This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Eastern Region, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 4), Corporal Michael J Crescenz VA Medical Center, Nutrition and Food Service, Philadelphia, PA. Duties are performed which include but are limited to: Directs the set-up of stations on the tray line with the correct supplies and food items, and the breaking down and cleaning of the station after the serving period. Responsible for checking and documenting all temperatures for refrigerators, freezers, dish machine, pot and pan machine, food banks, and prepared food items for immediate corrective actions. May also make necessary adjustments to production schedules (worksheets) when emergencies arise. Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plan work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by higher level supervisor Determine the number and types of workers needed to accomplish specific project. Implement corrective actions within their authority to resolve work problems. Support and explain management programs to their subordinates.
