This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Learn more The full time permanent Geropsychologist is located in the TVHS Mental Health Care Line, Psychology Section. The incumbent reports to the Chief of Psychology through the Dementia Care Coordinator. Duties include providing diagnostic interviews, assessments and psychotherapy for the geriatric veteran population. Additional responsibilities include multidisciplinary consultation and participation in the psychology practicum student, intern and postdoctoral fellow training program (i.e., teaching seminars in the Consortium Training Program; supervising practicum students and interns). The incumbent may provide such services to the geriatric veteran population on an inpatient or outpatient basis. Tele-Mental Health will be used as appropriate based on patient needs.
