Overview The Vascular Access Technician (VAT) is qualified to place and remove peripheral IV lines, obtain blood specimen with initial IV start, sterile PICC line dressing changes, discontinue PICC lines under the direction of the registered nurse and verification of physician order. To be qualified you need to be a current LPN, Phlebotomist; CMA or EMT or similar licensure. This position is 64 hours per two weeks on the Day/Evening shift (shifts 07-1530 or 15-2330) with an every other weekend rotation and a holiday rotation. This position is eligible for full benefits .
