Position Summary

The Diagnostic Technologist is a health professional with demonstrated skills and competency in all required General Radiographic and Fluoroscopic procedures provided in the hospital. Under general supervision, performs all routine diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures within the scope of the Radiology Department, excluding Special Procedures such as angiography, nephrostomies, PTC, and CT studies.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. He or she must be able to assess and interpret data about the patient’s status in order to identify each patient’s age-specific needs.

This position will assist in covering vacations, holidays and sick calls The qualified candidate will be able to work independently and without supervision.

• Ability to evaluate the demands of physicians, patients, staff and superiors.
