Summary: Under the general supervision of the Director of Information Systems, assumes implementation and on-going responsibilities for all financial software applications. Applies structured analysis and design techniques to operational requirements of each application. Analyzes software application, system performance and user department's workflow. Ensures functional requirements of the hospital are met via the computer software.
Other information: Experience mapping and intrgrating data across systems Minimum 2 years working with an inteface engine. Minimum two years experience leading small projects.Experience with Siemens Openlink preferredKnowledge and/or computer ability in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities: Performs advanced infrastructure tasks including interface development, network security, batch file interfaces, program development and testing, and platform support Provides independent application-based technical support Responsible for implementing, maintaining and upgrading assigned applications to enhance department workflow. Assists user in determining needs or requirements by collecting information and interviewing departmental personnel to ascertain possible solutions resulting in functional specifications and provides them to the vendor for resolution. Acts as liaison between departments and Information Systems. Assist in identification and resolution of system issues. Maintain these issues through the use of the IS tracking system, TrackIt. Review issues with the departments on a regular basis. Prepares and maintains work plans for new system implementations, major projects and upgrades assigned to them. Manages the projects and tracks status and deliverables, identifies overruns and manages agreed-upon deadlines. Identify project objectives. Develops conversion and live plans, reviews and explains plans to hospital personnel who are impacted. Coordinates all system testing activities and assists in testing of system enhancements and modifications prior to implementation. Documents the responsibilities and verification of testing. Works with user departments to develop test scenarios and strategies for system enhancements and modifications to existing systems. Defines user responsibilities and verification of testing. Assists in determining procedural requirements for the system and assists departments in writing and implementing system policies and procedures. Demonstrates system and trains key trainers on use of new and/or existing systems. Assist users in defining report requirements to be filled by standard system-generated reports or custom reports generated by Information Systems.
