Position is a shared family medicine/pediatrics appointment with Cabell Huntington Hospital and Hoops Family Children’s Hospital and Marshall University School of Pharmacy, and as such, will provide patient-centered, evidence-based clinical pharmacy services to the clinical site including patient education, therapeutic drug monitoring, education in-services, medication therapy consults, quality assurance activities (MUE, measures of clinical pharmacist’s impact on medication therapy, etc.), establish a practice setting suitable for training Doctor of Pharmacy students (both IPPEs and APPEs) as well as residents.
Further responsibilities include both didactic teaching and hands on simulations; academic advising of students; participation of ongoing curriculum development and assessment; committee work at both the college and university level; and scholarly/research activity in the candidate’s area of expertise.
Education
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), completed at least a PGY1 residency or have equivalent clinical experience. Must be licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of West Virginia or eligible to licensure in West Virginia.
Experience
Demonstrated record of effectiveness and development as a teacher and pharmacist clinician. Professional level will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
