The Department of In Vitro Fertilization at Barnes-Jewish Hospital has been helping men and women with infertility and assisting them in their goal of starting or adding to their families.� Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first program in Missouri to achieve a birth from IVF, and since then, has seen thousands of babies conceived through IVF.� The department uses the most state-of-the-art micromanipulation techniques to give patients the best chance of success.� Our IVF lab is compliant with the FDA and SART.� It is CAP and CLIA accredited.
Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Entry level embryologist with previous lab experience or experience with animal models of assisted reproduction who can perform some embryological techniques including oocyte identification/grading, semen preparation, pronuclear evaluation, embryo evaluation, embryo transfer and cryopreservation of oocytes and embryos.
Responsibilities
Maintain and clean all laboratory equipment on a daily basis
Perform ART techniques as required including: human oocyte micromanipulation, identification of human oocytes during retrieval, denuding human oocytes, assessing fertilization status of human embryos, assisted hatching, embryo transfer, cryopreservation of human oocytes and embryos, warming of human oocytes and embryos, insemination of human oocytes, and sperm preparation.
Prepare media for all laboratory procedures.
Complete and maintain detailed paperwork for all laboratory procedures and maintain program statistics.
Order and stock all laboratory supplies and materials
