Responsible for general operating and monitoring of sterilization, maintaining records in compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards. Maintains certification, monitors and instructs certified and noncertified personnel. Communicates with departments and staff throughout the day to maintain a smooth workflow. Assures daily task assignments are completed. May be requested to assume responsibility in the absence of the Supervisor and/or Manager. Performs any other duties as assigned. Involved with training in competency of tasks performed by the staff and participates in hospital wide educational projects. *Hours:  3:00pm - 11:30pm*What You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: * 2 years of sterile equipment processing, required* Computer skills, required* HS/GED required* One of the following primary Central Services certifications is required upon hire or transfer: CRCST, CBSPDT* One of the following post-primary certifications is required within one year of hire or transfer: CIS, CSIS, CER, CFER, CHL, CSPM, CASSPTPhysical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Your Connected Community:Penrose - St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 522-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprised of Penrose Hospital and St. Francis Medical Center.
