We are currently recruiting a faculty member for the Midwifery Program Coordinator position. The Midwifery Program Coordinator is responsible for working with the Assistant Dean of Professional Graduate Programs to oversee the midwifery program in collaboration with midwifery faculty, existing CON faculty governance structure and to develop, implement and evaluate curriculum in accordance with Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME).

The Program Coordinator provides leadership and administration for planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Nurse-Midwifery Program.  Responsibilities include teaching, guidance in academic matters, and securing clinical placements to ensure student success and achieve program goals. In addition, this role requires active engagement in mentoring, recruitment and marketing, as well as alumni and community outreach.

The incoming faculty will teach and maintain a portion of their time in clinical practice. Excellence in teaching and clinical practice are both fundamental components of our CON mission.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Graduate degree in nursing and a terminal degree
• Three years of full scope midwifery practice experience
• Active midwifery license and national certification
• Clinical and/or didactic teaching experience

 Preferred Qualifications: 

• Leadership experience
• Experience working with rural and/or underserved populations
• Experience in program administration and curriculum development
• A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
